Sichuan Teachers: Notes for Applicants (Teachers and Students) 

The following Notes are available in both English and Chinese. In case of inconsistency or ambiguity between the two versions, the English text shall prevail. 
 

A. Personal Data

1. All personal data are provided voluntarily and verified in due course by the data provider who has the right to amend such data at all times. Sichuan Teachers do not warrant the accuracy of the data and will not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any loss, destruction or damage however arising from the inaccuracy of, errors in, omissions from, or misstatements or misrepresentations concerning, (whether express or implied), any such data. 

2. All personal data will be used only for the furtherance of the objectives of Sichuan Teachers as stipulated in its Constitution (articles and memorandum). Some data will be publicized and made available for public access for the matching scheme between teachers and students. Sichuan Teachers will not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any loss, destruction or damage however arising from or in respect of any misuse of or reliance on the personal data by any third party. 

3. Other personal data will be kept confidential for internal reference only and will not be accessible to any third party without the consent of the data provider. 

B. Responsibilities of Teachers/ Mentors

1. By joining the matching scheme of Sichuan Teachers, all voluntary teachers/ mentors agree to abide by the following terms:

(a) to provide accurate and complete personal data for the matching with students;

(b) not to misuse any personal data provided by students and other voluntary teachers, inter alia, for any purpose outside the scope of work of Sichuan Teachers;

(c) to use their best endeavors in furthering the objectives of Sichuan Teachers as stated in its Constitution;

(d) not to involve in any criminal, illegal or otherwise unethical activities or any related act whatsoever in the course of any activity coordinated by Sichuan Teachers; and

(e) not to act in the name of Sichuan Teachers without prior approval by the Board of Directors  of Sichuan Teachers. 

2. Sichuan Teachers do not assume any responsibility in or accept any liability however arising from the personal conduct of individual teachers and students in the course of any provision of voluntary services. Unless otherwise stipulated, Sichuan Teachers will not be responsible for any costs or liable to any loss suffered by individual teachers in the course of any provision of voluntary services. 

3. All services to the students are provided by the teachers on a voluntary and gratuitous basis. Unless otherwise stipulated and approved, teachers should not ask for any charges, fees, reimbursements or consideration of whatever nature from the students. 

4. Any person can register or deregister as a teacher of Sichuan Teachers and join or leave the matching scheme at any time. If a person wants to deregister as a teacher , prior notice of 14 days should be given to our information technology head by sending an email to IT.helpdesk@sichuanteachers.org. A deregistered teacher must return all equipments, properties and resources provided by Sichuan Teachers.  All deregistered teachers shall immediately stop in all respects the use of any information acquired through the work as a Sichuan Teachers.  In addition, upon such deregistration, all deregistered teachers shall promptly return to Sichuan Teachers all material

relating to the matching scheme including, but not limited to, all artwork, color separations or digital files, prototypes and the like, at no cost to Sichuan Teachers. 

5. Sichuan Teachers maintains the right and power to deregister a teacher from the matching scheme without giving any prior notice or providing any reason. 

C. Responsibilities of Students

1. By joining the matching scheme of Sichuan Teachers, all students agree to abide by the following terms:

(a) to provide accurate and complete personal data for the matching with teachers

(b) not to misuse any personal data provided by voluntary teachers and other students, inter alia, for any purpose other those stipulated in the objectives of Sichuan Teachers; 

2. Sichuan Teachers do not assume any responsibility in or accept any liability arising from the personal conduct of individual teachers and students in the course of any provision of voluntary services. Unless otherwise stipulated, Sichuan Teachers will not be responsible for any costs or liable to any loss suffered by individual students in the course of any provision of voluntary services. 

3. Students can accept or refuse to accept the services provided by any teacher  under the matching scheme, subjected to the availability of individual teachers. They can join or leave the matching scheme at any time. If a student wants to leave the scheme, prior notice of 14 days should be given to our information technology head by sending an email to IT.helpdesk@sichuanteachers.org. 

4. A school may register for their students on a group basis under the matching scheme. If the registration is to be proceeded on a group basis, the school should obtain those students’ prior consent and their authorization in using their personal data 

5. Sichuan Teachers maintains the right and power to deregister a student from the matching scheme without giving any prior notice or providing any reason. 

D.  Information of cooperative organizations

1.  Sichuan Teachers is dedicated to the communication and cooperation with other organizations. Sichuan Teachers provides volunteer-recruiting information and other cooperative information from other organizations with selection and formal examination, but does not warrant the authenticity and accuracy of the data or information and will not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any loss, destruction or damage however arising from the inaccuracy of, errors in, omissions from, or misstatements or misrepresentations concerning, (whether express or implied), any such data or information.   

2.  Sichuan Teachers provides the publishing platform of the foregoing information. For the relationship between teachers and other organizations, including, but not limited to, each party’s rights and obligations, and any dispute between the two parties, Sichuan Teachers will not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility. 

E. Jurisdiction

1. For all activities carried out in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), any dispute arising out of the activities coordinated by Sichuan Teachers will be resolved according to the laws of the PRC.

2. For any other disputes concerning Sichuan Teachers, they will be resolved according to the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). 

F. Disclaimer 

Sichuan Teachers is a non-governmental organization registered in Hong Kong aiming at providing long-term academic help and tutorials to children directly affected by the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake. It is initiated and organized by a group of academics, professionals and students in China and abroad who are greatly concerned with the education in the areas affected by the Earthquake.  

By joining Sichuan Teachers, you agree to accept unconditionally the terms of these Notes for Applicants. As the Notes may be revised and/or amended from time to time by Sichuan Teachers without prior notice to you, please check with us regularly for any revision and/or amendment which may be made.

四川老师：申请人（老师与学生）的注意事項   

以下注意事项分中、英文两种版本。如两份语言版本中出现矛盾或分歧，以英文版本为准。  

A. 个人资料 

1. 所有个人资料由申请人在自愿提供并适当核实，申请人有权在任何时间修改资料。“四川老师”不保证资料的准确性，任何由于资料的不准确、错误、遗漏、谎报或误导（表述的或暗示的）而造成的损失，破坏和损害，“四川老师”一律不具有或承擔责任和义务。 

2. 所有个人资料，如“四川老师”的规章中（条款和章程）所规定的，只用于促进“四川老师”的服务目的。某些资料会公开，以便学生和老师用于配对组合。任何由于第三方对个人资料的误用和依赖而造成的损失、破坏和损害，四川老师一律不具有或承擔责任和义务。 

3. 其他个人资料只作對內参考之用並會保密，没有资料提供者的同意不会被任何第三方获取。  

B. 老师/指导员的责任 

1. 一旦自愿参与“四川老师”配对组合，老师/指导员同意遵守以下规定：

   a. 为与学生配对提供准确和完整的个人资料

   b. 不可误用由学生和其他老师提供的个人资料，尤其不可用于除“四川老师”规定目标以外的任何目的。

   c. 尽全力促进“四川老师”在其规章中指出的服务目的。

   d. 在参与由“四川老师”协调组织的任何活動期间，不参与任何非法，违法和不道德的活动和相关行为。

   e. 在没有“四川老师”董事会预先批准的情况下，不得以“四川老师”的名义行动。 

2. 由老师和学生在服务提供期间的个人行为引起的任何结果，“四川老师”不承担或接受任何责任。除非另行规定，“四川老师”不会对任何花费或老师在提供自愿服务期间的个人损失负责。 

3. 老师提供的所有服务都建立在自愿和无偿的基础上。除非另行规定并批准，老师不得索取任何费用，赏金，补偿或任何形式的代价。 

4. 任何个人均可在任何时间注册/取消注册成为“四川老师”的老师并参与/退出配对活动。如想取消注册老师职位，个人需提前14天以电子邮件形式通知我们的信息技术管理员，“四川老师”邮箱为IT.helpdesk@sichuanteachers.org。取消注册的老师必须归还所有由“四川老师”提供的设备，财产和资源。所有取消注册的老师应立即停止对在“四川老师”工作期间获得的任何信息的使用。另外，在取消注册之后，所有取消注册的老师应立即归还“四川老师”提供的关于配对组合的所有材料，包括但不局限于，所有艺术品，分色或数字文件，原型等,并不对“四川老师”造成开销。  

5.“四川老师”对取消配对老师的注册保持权力，并无需预先通知或提供任何理由。 

C. 学生的责任 

1. 一旦参与“四川老师”配对组合，所有学生同意遵守以下规定：

a. 为与老师配对提供准确和完整的个人资料

b. 不可误用由自愿者老师和其他学生提供的个人资料，尤其不可用于除“四川老师”规定目标以外的任何目的。  

2. 由老师和学生在服务提供期间的个人行为引起的任何结果，“四川老师”不承担或接受任何责任。除非另行规定，“四川老师”不会对任何花费或学生在服务提供期间的个人损失负责。 

3. 在配对组合中，因應是否有足够的老师，学生可接受或拒绝任何老师提供的服务. 学生可在任何时间加入或退出组合配对。如学生想退出组合配对，个人需提前14天以电子邮件形式通知我们的信息技术管理员，“四川老师”邮箱为IT.helpdesk@sichuanteachers.org。 

4. 一所学校可以以团队为基础，为其学生注册进入组合配对。如注册是以团队为基础，学校应需征得学生预先同意和认可方可利用其个人资料。 

5. “四川老师”对取消配对学生的注册保持权力，并无需预先通知或提供任何理由。 

D. 合作组织信息 

1. “四川老师”致力于与其他相关组织的联系与合作。“四川老师”为老师有选择地提供相关合作组织的志愿者招募信息或其他合作信息，并对相关组织的资料和信息进行形式上的审查，但不保证其真实性和准确性。任何由于资料和信息的不准确、错误、遗漏、谎报或误导（表述的或暗示的）而造成的损失，破坏和损害，“四川老师”一律不具有或承擔责任和义务。   

2. “四川老师”仅提供对上述相关信息的发布，对于老师与其他组织之间的一切权利义务以及有可能发生的一切纠纷，“四川老师”不承担任何责任。 

E. 司法区域 

1. 由于所有活动都在中华人民共和国开展，任何由“四川老师”协调组织的活动引起的争执都根据中华人民共和国法律解决。

2. 任何其他关于“四川老师”的争执都依照香港特别行政区法律解决。 

F. 申明 

“四川老师”是一个在香港注册的非政府组织，针对为在2008四川大地震中受直接影响的儿童提供长期学业帮助和辅导。“四川老师”是由一批极力关心大地震受灾地区教育的学者，专家和中外学生组成。  

一旦参与“四川老师”，你无条件同意接受以上申请人注意。由于注意可能被修改，并且/或者在无预先通知的情况下由“四川老师”修订，请定期向我们和对任何可能实施的修改和/或修订。
